Six major roads near KLCC to close for Malaysian F1 Grand Prix
ur City Centre (KLCC) will be closed for the ‘Formula One-Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix 2014’ on March 23-29.
Kuala Lumpur traffic police chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor said in a statement today three events in conjunction with Formula One 2014 would be held around the city.
“The Motorsports Demo Run event will involve five routes which have to be closed from 4pm to 10pm on March 23,” he said.
The six roads involved were the junction of Jalan Ampang/Jalan Tun Razak to KLCC, junction of Jalan Sultan Ismail/Jalan Ampang to KLCC and the junction of Jalan P Ramlee to Jalan P.Ramlee/Jalan Ampang.
Two other roads were the junction of Jalan Yap Kwan Seng/Jalan Ampang to the junction of Jalan Ampang/Jalan Tun Razak and the junction of Jalan Binjai/Jalan Persiaran KLCC to KLCC.
Meanwhile, for the ‘Malaysia Grand Prix Dinner’ event on March 27 and the ‘Twin Tower@Live 2014’ on March 28 and 29, one left lane of Jalan Ampang in front of KLCC would also be closed.
He advised road users to use public transportation and to avoid using the affected roads.
